Helpful Tips for Better Prints 

  • Upload files at the exact print size whenever possible
  • Use 150 DPI resolution for sharp results
  • Create files in sRGB color profile
  • Avoid adding extra padding or empty space around your design
  • Very small text or thin lines may not print clearly

What you upload is what gets printed, low-quality files will result in low-quality prints.

How to Get the Best Print Results

  • Avoid semi-transparent designs: Semi-transparent or low-opacity elements don’t print well. Use solid colors instead, or recreate the effect using halftones.

  • Use high-resolution files (150 DPI): Simply changing the resolution number won’t improve quality. If your design is blurry, it will have to be recreated at a higher resolution.

  • Use transparency carefully on dark garments: Black ink can appear gray on black fabric due to the white base layer used in printing. Leave black areas transparent so the fabric shows through naturally.

  • Avoid designs with perfect borders: Tight borders can warp slightly during printing. Leave some space around your design for best results.

DTG Printing Disclaimers

  • No white ink on white garments.
  • Light colors on bright garments (e.g., Red, Maroon) may appear slightly tinted due to fabric dye and the printing process.
  • Hard lines or symmetrical shapes may have minor variations. Minimal shrinkage per print location can occur depending on the material.
  • Any minor discoloration or marks around the print usually disappear after the first wash.
  • Some youth/women garments may have inside labels positioned slightly lower than usual.
  • Human involvement can cause slight variations in print placement.
  • We do not ship blank products.

Tips to Ensure High-Quality DTFlex Prints

  • Avoid semi-transparent designs: Semi-transparent graphics or elements with reduced opacity don’t print well in DTFlex. Use solid colors, or simulate semi-transparency using halftones.

  • Use see-through elements for a lighter feel: Incorporate see-through areas in your design to reduce the amount of ink and adhesive applied. This creates a softer, lighter print compared to large solid-color designs.

  • Use high-resolution files (DPI matters): Simply increasing the resolution number won’t improve print quality. If your design is low-resolution, the best approach is to create a new, high-resolution file.

  • Skip soft or feathered edges: DTFlex prints rely on small ink dots, so soft or blurry edges may appear rough or blotchy. Keep edges crisp and solid for best results.

  • Use high-resolution images for photos or detailed graphics: DTFlex is great for photography and full-color designs. Higher-resolution images help to have sharper, clearer prints.


DTFlex Printing Disclaimers

  • White ink may show under color layers.
  • Print may feel stiff initially but softens after a few washes.
  • Prints can develop small cracks if washed in hot water.
  • Iron garments inside out; direct ironing can change print color.
  • Keep all lines at least 1 pt thick (≈4 px at 300 DPI).
  • Font sizes should generally be 10–12 pts; thin text may not print clearly.
  • Add a background to small text to prevent peeling.
  • Polyester garments may show light areas around designs due to heat.
  • Cotton garments may show temporary marks from water evaporation, which fade over time.
